104. Ten lessons you learned from Disney Movies. ([livejournal.com profile] thetenspot)

1) True love doth exist!
2) You can sing anywhere. Anytime. About anything.
3) Screw differences, even fox and dog can be best friends.
4) Toys are alive. Treat them well.
5) An apple a day keeps the prince around.
6) Atlantis bruised my childlike spirit. I still have a massive trauma from sitting in the cinema and waiting for the first song and waiting and waiting and then realizing it was the first Disney movie ever where nobody sang. Can you sue for that? I was crushed!
7) Just when you started living the easy life your father's face comes out and starts looming from above the sky.
8) You can recognize girls years after meeting them when they nail you.
9) Real life street painters get mad when you try to jump into their pictures.
10) You will most likely end up with your best friend from childhood days, even more so if you stated that you'll never ever get married.

6. I haven't seen cartoons in a long time, but seriously? I thought songs were Disney's thing.

I don't think so.

About Atlantis...uh, I don't think it was the first songless movie. Remember The Black Cauldron?

Not many people do...

(ooc: Yay!)

6. Exactly! The whole time it was like this: "Now they gotta bring a song. Oh! That's a situation for a song! Still not? Hmm. But now! The movie is over? What the hell!" It wasn't pretty.

2. But when you're singing there's nothing to feeeeeeear
3. Who knows? What about love at first sight?
5. Well, you're not supposed to eat the apple.
6. Did you just seriously say Michael J. Fox?

2. Gus, there is no limit to the praising love of the pineapple.
6. Are you sure? We could at least try!
9. To see the other side, yes.

The Black Cauldron didn't have songs?!

[identity profile] nerdherdchuck.livejournal.com 2008-06-18 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope.

And it was kinda scary in parts. But then again...I was like five when it came out.

2. Then why did you avoid the answer?
6. Remember the big brown book you spilt soda all over? The one I had to pay for because it was from the library? It was a law book. Sorry, buddy, we don't have a chance with this one.

There wasn't even a song in the credits? I mean come on, even the Pixar movies at least have one song.
