You receive a letter from someone telling you they’re thinking about committing a crime. Respond to it.


Dear anonymous soon-to-be customer,

I know you sent me this letter because you are desperate. That, or a horrible attention-seeker. Which is what the police thinks, because you have written to them in the past. I have seen the letters. You have never done something so far and now you have written to me, because they stopped paying attention to you. At least that's what they think.



But the spirits commanded me to take your request, your cry for help, seriously and I shall proceed how they bid me to proceed. And I think they were right. I can feel that this time it is quite different. I can feel you are reaching out for me. You are reaching out so hard your arm hurts, the muscles making it tremble, like those horrible warming-up exercises we all hated in PE class. Did you simply pretend to stretch with a pained expression on your face as well? I think we all did.

I can reach into your soul through the ink. You also might consider getting a new pen, it's almost empty. Let me assure you that you don't have to do this. The crime, I mean. You really should get a new pen. And stop chewing on it.

So why don't you just come over and tell me what the real problem is? Because I can feel the charade of this act, yet there is something more to it. The demons are howling disapproval because something downright evil is going on without their knowledge. I am willing to listen to you before they rip out our souls in jealousy. The psych office also grants spiritual purification.

I can help you with the abyss of your inner torment. What is the real crime you want to point the police to?

There is no need to hand your soul over to the dark side. You are strong! Plus, I already know who you are. I apologize, I know that you wish to stay anonymous but you did contact a psychic's office so don't blame me.

We are looking forward to your visit. Please bring a perfumed candle, preferably in the scent of a citrus fruit.

Well, I'm starting to agree that this man needs help, but I'm thinking it may be more along the lines of profession help that we're not qualified to give.
